Travel Problems Over The Next Few Days

If you're traveling into, out of or through the Northern Plains, Great Lakes or Midwest through Monday, you might want to reschedule. A growing storm system will likely delay you — especially in places like Chicago, Minneapolis, Detroit and St. Louis. Road conditions will likely remain hazardous to start the week.

Rain and thunderstorms are expected to through early Monday, meaning delays are possible in Miami, Atlanta, New Orleans, Raleigh, New York, Memphis, Cincinnati, Indianapolis and Nashville, in addition to the cities listed above.

This system will continue to impact travel for much of the East on Monday, including Atlanta, Orlando, Charleston, Raleigh, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, New York City and Boston.

Rounds of moisture will also impact the Pacific Northeast this weekend into early next week, including Seattle.

Apart from a quick moving system that will bring snowfall to the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes Monday and Tuesday, the weather will be much more calm for the rest of next week, including for St. Patrick's Day.
