If you ask Sunny Hostin, it's curtains on *The View** *guest cohost Sara Eisen's latest remarks on Donald Trump.
As the cohosts discussed Trump's handling of the recent American-Israeli joint war on Iran Wednesday, the talk show's live studio audience laughed as Hostin shamed Eisen's speculative assessment of the president's susceptibility to foreign sway.
After Eisen cited a resignation letter from ex-counterterrorism official Joe Kent, which alleged that Trump's decision-making on the matter was influenced by Israel, the CNBC host emphatically stated that "it is clear we started this war," though she defended Trump against Kent's claim.

Eisen said it's "disrespectful and wrong to assume that the United States and the president, especially this president, whatever you think of him, does not act on his own agency and on behalf of the United States of America."
Hostin cut in to ask, "This corrupt president, you don't think he acts on his own benefit?" Moderator Whoopi Goldberg stepped in to allow Eisen space to speak, urging her cohosts to "let her" finish.
"I'm saying he asks, he does not get coerced by other nations like Israel," Eisen continued, with *The View* studio audience laughing over the assessment.

Hostin, too, smiled as she asked, "Really? Okay. If that helps you sleep at night, that's great!" She picked up her mug on the table and sipped from it, adding to the dramatic effect of her words.
Eisen continued, further laying into Kent's claim by alleging, "I also think it's a very old-school, antisemitic trope to blame the Jews and blame Israel. It's as old as time. When you've got problems in the world, you know, blame the media, blame the banks, blame the Jews, and he's flat-out antisemitic, absolutely, and I think we should call it what it is."

Sunny Hostin on 'The View'.
Hostin agreed that antisemitism is "reprehensible," but still noted that the U.S.' strikes on Iran were "a joint operation with Israel" that she suspected happened because American officials might've "relied on Israeli intelligence."
When reached for comment, a White House representative pointed * *to a social media post from White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who called "the absurd allegation that President Trump made this decision based on the influence of others, even foreign countries," both "insulting and laughable."

*The View* airs weekdays on ABC.
