Ryan Gosling’s new SNL promo has fans excited on the internet. The 45-year-old actor will host SNL this weekend, with Gorillaz making an appearance as well. Notably, Gosling is promoting his upcoming film Project Hail Mary, which will be released on March 20.

Ryan Gosling put his comedic charm on display in the new SNL promo ahead of taking hosting duties on March 7. The promo is cleverly titled, “Ryan Gosling Thinks He’s Joining SNL’s Five-Timers Club.” In the promo, Gosling boldly assumes he will become a member of the exclusive Five-Timers Club.

This enviable list consists of hosts who have headlined the quirky show at least five times (via Deadline). In the promo, the La La Land star walks through a clothing section as Gorillaz’s “Clint Eastwood” plays in the background. Notably, Gorillaz will be guesting on SNL over the weekend as well.

Gosling looks dapper in dark glasses as he picks a jacket with number 5 printed on it. He dons the jacket and walks out cockily, knocking a staff member down and blowing smoke rings with the number 5. He rides a dummy horse and pops open champagne, reveling in the fact that he will be hosting SNL for the fifth time.

However, a staff member reminds the actor, “This is your fourth time hosting.” The Notebook star exclaims, “Oh my God, it’s just four!” But in the end, Gosling’s actions declare that he doesn’t care, as he will take on hosting duties for the fourth time this weekend.

Unsurprisingly, fans across X (formerlyTwitter) and Reddit are loving the Barbie star’s hilarious SNL promo. One fan commented, “10/10 no notes.” A second fan wrote, “This is basically a perfect promo. Great incorporation of the musical guest’s work, too.” A third fan made a reference to Gosling’s famous “Hey Girl” meme. The fan penned, “Hey girl, THIS is how you promo.”
