Jennifer Hudson is getting ready to hit the road!
Looking forward to an upcoming string of North American arena concerts with Josh Groban this summer, the EGOT winner, 44, is excited to not only sharing the stage with a fellow musician she's "a huge fan of" but also "just to perform again."
"Music is the base for me," the singer, actress and talk show host tells PEOPLE. "I can't wait to get back to the musical base in concert form."

"That is what I'm most looking forward to doing right now, is getting out there on tour and performing," adds Hudson. "[There's] nothing like it."
The 16-date tour kicks off in Montreal on June 2 and continues through July 3 in Salt Lake City. Groban, 45, has already teased "duet possibilities" between himself and Hudson, but what are the chances she brings out boyfriend Common as a surprise guest?
"You know what? We'll see. We'll see. I wouldn't count that out," says the "Spotlight" singer.

"How the music hits us is how we respond," she teases. "So, if it's on his spirit, my spirit, out spirit, you may get to see that."
Hudson, who first sparked romance rumors with Common (real name Lonnie Rashid Lynn) in 2022, adds, "I don't know, but it's still early on as far as the program for the tour [and] what the music will be."
The forthcoming tour was announced on a December episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show by the host and Groban. At the time, the “You Raise Me Up” singer said he felt “honored” to hit the road with Hudson.
