On Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026, Jennifer Garner made an appearance on Kylie Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie podcast
During the episode, the 13 Going on 30 star discussed everything from raising kids to her favorite movie character she’s ever played
She also revealed the line from the 2005 rom-com that fans ask her to quote the most
More than 20 years after it first hit theaters, 13 Going on 30 is still a movie fans can’t stop quoting — and as a result, neither can Jennifer Garner.
The actress, 53, recently stopped by Kylie Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie podcast, where she reflected on the lasting impact of the beloved romantic comedy. From themed birthday parties to social media tributes, the film continues to show up in everyday life. During the episode, Garner admitted that one particular line has become part of her own regular vocabulary.
“I mean, I say ‘30, flirty and thriving’ three or four times a week in videos to people,” Garner told Kelce.

The phrase, made famous by Garner’s character, Jenna Rink, has taken on a life of its own.
In the 2004 film, Jenna magically transforms from an awkward 13-year-old into a successful 30-year-old magazine editor, fully embracing adulthood with wide-eyed enthusiasm. That optimistic slogan perfectly sums up her outlook and Garner is happy to repeat it for fans celebrating milestone birthdays.
“If you're turning 30 or you're turning 13 and you run into me, well, I'm gonna do a video for a friend of yours, if somebody in your life is having one of those birthdays, I'm gonna do that video,” she explained.
While “30, flirty and thriving” may be Garner’s most-quoted line, Kelce confessed she has a different favorite line from the movie: “That's 'cause I have these incredible boobs to fill it out!”

The quote comes from a memorable scene in which Jenna, now suddenly grown up, excitedly admires herself in a glamorous multi-colored dress. After years of teenage insecurity, she’s thrilled to discover she has physically matured and proudly credits her curves for filling out the outfit so perfectly.
“I always thought that was, like, the most lovely reaction of just, like, yeah, you know what you get between 13 and 30? Boobs!” Kelce laughed while going on to crack a lighthearted joke about herself. “I loved that moment, because I was just like, 'Maybe that means one day, I will get boobs to fill out a dress,' ” she said.

Even now, audiences continue to see themselves in Jenna’s journey and Garner reveals that making the movie was just as special as watching it.
“I love that movie so much. We had the best time making that movie. We all loved our director so much, who sadly died — Gary Winick — of brain cancer. If not, we would all have worked with Gary 10 times by now,” Garner told Kelce.
“He was so wonderful, and he had this whole feeling of play on the set, and it was such a big deal for Judy [Greer]. It was such a big deal for me. It was such a big deal for Mark [Ruffalo], and the three of us got along so well with everyone."
