Pop Mart, the official retailer of Labubu blind boxes and products, has teamed up with FIFA to celebrate the 2026 World Cup with a new Labubu collection.

The Monsters × FIFA Series collection will feature a vinyl plush doll, a vinyl doll pendant blind box, a bottle-opener fridge magnet blind box and more, according to Pop Mart.

The new soccer-inspired Labubu products will drop online on Pop Mart's website on Thursday, April 2, at 10 p.m. ET, and be available in stores on Friday, April 3.

The announcement comes after Pop Mart revealed it has teamed up with Sony Pictures Entertainment to bring Labubu to life in a live-action and CGI hybrid film.

Pop Mart also released the Labubu x Sanrio Characters Series, featuring Labubu vinyl plush pendants dressed as Sanrio characters Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, Pochacco and Pompompurin.

Labubus, which look like monsters with big eyes, sharp teeth and fur, went viral in 2025, appearing on backpacks, purses and other bags all over social media. The dolls became so popular that they would sell out within minutes whenever Pop Mart restocked its website and TikTok shop.

Pop Mart has sold small Labubus, some shaped like shrimp tempura, some carrying Coke products, others dressed as pumpkins, and more.

Most Labubu dolls come in blind boxes, meaning buyers take a risk and won’t know which Labubu they have until they open their box. They come in a variety of colors and designs.

Some people might say the doll looks a bit scary, while others think it’s downright adorable.

The doll was designed by Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung around 10 years ago, according to Business Insider.

But today, Labubus are sold worldwide by Beijing-based toy maker Pop Mart as part of their “The Monsters” line.

Labubus made popular by celebrities

Olivia Attwood, Simone Biles and others joined in on the 2025 Labubu craze, contributing to its popularity.

Lisa from BLACKPINK's obsession with Labubus was also documented in a 2024 Vanity Fair interview.

During the interview, the K-pop star confessed her "secret obsession" was blind boxes from Pop Mart.

Rihanna and Dua Lipa have also been seen with Labubus, which helped boost the toy's popularity, Emily Brough, head of licensing for Pop Mart North America, previously told USA TODAY in a statement.
